[Press] MiDeal Wins Gold Award at KINGO-GA Startup Competition

2026.08.06

Hello. This is Fintag, the corporate financial asset optimization solution.

We are proud to share exciting news. Mideal Inc., the company behind Fintag, has won the Gold Award (Hana Bank President's Award) at the 2026 KINGO-GA Startup Competition. It is a meaningful achievement earned as a B2B SaaS for SME cash management, on a stage where eight promising startups in deep-tech and emerging industries were selected.

Press coverage introduced us under our corporate name, "Mideal." Fintag is the service built and operated by Mideal Inc.

🏆 About the competition

The 2026 KINGO-GA Startup Competition was co-hosted by Sungkyunkwan University's Startup Support Foundation and GA Korea, with support from Yongin City, Hana Bank, and IMM Investment. Now in its 8th year, the event was held on the 3rd at the GA Korea Plaza in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.

  • A stage for early and growth-stage companies — The program identifies companies with high growth potential by evaluating technology and business viability. 108 promising companies in the metropolitan region applied; 15 that passed pre-screening and document review earned booth exhibition spots, and the top 8 that advanced to the finals took the stage.
  • Beyond a pitch contest — The competition serves as a "growth ladder" connecting promising startups to real investment and growth. Gold Award and higher winners are granted investor-relations (IR) opportunities to raise funding for full-scale scale-up.
  • An ecosystem built on collaboration — With universities, local government, financial institutions, and investors participating together, the event reflected the broader shift in startup support from idea contests toward real commercialization.

🥇 The eight companies selected

This year's final selections were as follows:

  • Grand Prize — Nextierials, DeepDimension (joint award)
  • Gold Award — TakRobot, Mideal (Fintag)
  • Silver Award — PiQLab, LogK
  • Bronze Award — TF Lab, Mocon

We stood alongside deep-tech companies taking on the hardest problems in their fields, spanning next-generation materials, 3D medical imaging, and robotics.

💡 What Fintag proved

In the finals, seven judges conducted 120 minutes of on-site evaluation. Standing alongside advanced hardware and deep-tech companies, Fintag was recognized for its innovative business model and took the Gold Award.

The problem we solve is not flashy, but it is clear: gathering a company's scattered financial assets—banks, cards, deposits, loans, leases—into one place, so you can see them in real time, ask an AI about them, and stay on top of them through maturity. It is the work of taking on, through software, the very real burden faced by SMEs that cannot afford a dedicated finance team. Winning Gold among deep-tech peers is, to us, external confirmation of the value and market potential of solving this problem.

🤝 Our thanks

This competition was the fruit of a startup ecosystem built through collaboration among the private sector (GA Korea), academia (Sungkyunkwan University), local government (Yongin City), finance (Hana Bank), and investment (IMM Investment).

Lee Yong-sung, President of GA Korea, said the company "will continue its support so that startups can keep growing," and Kim Kyung-hwan, Director of Sungkyunkwan University's Startup Support Foundation, said the university "will continue supporting startups so that companies creating new value can become the competitive strength of future industries." Lee Duk-jae, Director of Yongin City's Economy and Industry Bureau, shared plans to expand space and policy support for startups, while Hana Bank and IMM Investment expressed their commitment to backing startup growth through investment and financial support.

Our thanks to the hosts and sponsors who stepped up to help startups cross the "death valley" of fundraising, and to everyone who encouraged the founders on-site.

🚀 The road ahead

This award is not a finish line but a starting point. Fintag will keep moving toward unifying scattered corporate finances into a single view, forecasting cash flow, and using AI to support better financial decisions—not because we won an award, but because that is the essence of the product we set out to build.

We will return the joy of this award in the form of making your cash management easier. We ask for your continued interest and support.

Thank you. Sincerely, the Fintag team.
